The library itself was gorgeous, but the accessibility was dreadful. You'll find the sign directing you to the accessible entrance after you've gone up a hill, which wasn't even the bad part. To get in via the other entrance, you have to call via the intercom for someone to get you. We tried calling for 10 minutes or so, but no one came to open the door. Luckily I was with friends, and one of them went back to the other entrance to get someone to open it, but if I were to visit alone I couldn't have gotten in.I don't mind things like not being able to access certain parts because it being too narrow/having stairs because it was just built like that in a different time. But this just felt like something very preventable, so it really bummed me out.

Beautiful library to visit! Also great for studying cause it’s usually not crowded at all. Just keep in mind that you can’t bring any snacks or drinks.

Kansalliskirjastossa on esillä promootionäyttely. Kirjastossa voi myös ihailla hienoja kattofreskoja.

Oh what jewels to be found inside. This is a big library with 7-8 levels. It's a book readers paradise for sure!Entry is free. You need to leave your coats, umbrellas and food etc at the ground floor. There are free lockers. The building from inside is beautiful, with gorgeous frescoes. The library is spic and span and well organised. Many places to sit and read in silence. There is a cafe downstairs but didn't check it out. Clean restrooms.A week is not enough in such a place.

Everyone can visit the National Library of Finland and it's big. There you will find books in many different languages, most of all - of course - on finnish. Impressive.

Important for journalists and researchers but also a nice tourist attraction. You have to leave your bag and jacket to a locker, after that you can visit and see the astonishing architecture. Please be quiet as people are working here. Take pictures but discuss them outside :)
