Ollero Eco Lodge

We rented the lodge and igloo for myself and my mom in late Sept. The setting is beautiful and even though we were unlucky to have overcast skies during our three days there we still loved our experience. The lodge is comfortable as is the igloo. The smell of the lodge was amazing, from the birch maybe? The Lappi teepee was cool to have a fire and grill some sausages. 100% recommend.

Nous avons passés de super vacances à lOllero eco lodge .Nous avons communiqués avec Annie avant de partir et elle est vraiment adorable , elle nous a organisé les excursions ( pêche dans la glace , chien de traîneau , ballade en reine et les aurores boréales , ainsi que réserver des restaurant ) , elle est super pour toute l’organisation .Nous avons été accueilli par Arttu le frère d’Annie et son père Steeve des hôtes vrai est très gentil .Et nous avons eu le plaisir de rencontrer Sirpia la maman super également ;)Le lieu de l ollero est unique, nous sommes seuls en pleine nature et c’est féerique.Des raquettes , luges , de quoi faire un feu pour cuisiner ou se réchauffeur sont à disposition .La vue est incroyable . Super endroit pour observer les aurores .Le logement principal , la cabine et lIgloo sont super bien chauffé :)L’inconvénient est peut être le manque de luminosité dans le logement principal , la présence d’une seule douche , et l’absence de lavabo miroir dans la salle de douche . Sinon tout était super , literie très confortable , logement calme . Proche du centre ville en voiture .Nous avons passé de super vacances et si c’était à refaire je reviendrai à l ollero .Merci à toute la famille pour cet endroit qu on n oubliera pasFamille Geerlandt

Booked for 4 nights to bring together family and friends from New Zealand, Finland & Scotland. After driving down a small track, the driveway opens up to a large yard overlooking Ollerolampi (pond), Ounasjoki (river) and the hills beyond. The best thing, is that it is all for you. The main house/lodge is very homely and welcoming with traditional decorations, but modern comforts such as a full size dishwasher and (Finnish) coffee machine, and TV (which we didn't need to watch during our stay). It is a nice central hub for family meals and spending time together. The modern double showers and bathroom are in the same building. Next to the main lodge is the sleeping cabin (aitta) that has a separate bedroom with a bunk bed (wider than a normal single) and a mezzanine (parvi) with a double bed. It had a well functioning composting toilet. Between the main lodge and the sleeping cabin is a teepee (kota), which was an excellent place to spend time and cook together - we were nice and comfortable despite the cold and rain outside. It provided a truly Lappish experience to our visitors from abroad. The glass igloo was very comfortable and warm, and perfect for a couple. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the northern lights due to the rainy weather, but the views were nonetheless spectacular with the autumn colours reflected in the water. It even had its own wee toilet and Wi-Fi signal. It was also very private from the main lodge and rest of the compound. It apparently gets floated in water in summer which would be amazing, but the water level was too low during our stay. And after my mum fell in the 10c water while paddle boarding, it was maybe a good thing we could access our bedroom from dry land :). We had fun with the rowing boat, paddle boards and the canoe though. Unfortunately despite our 4 night stay, we did not have the time to heat up the sauna and jacuzzi, but that is definitely on the cards for the next stay. All the recycling and environmental aspects are well thought of and easy to use, and no hassle at all. There is plenty of parking space, and having your own transport is advisable - it is only a short drive to the city or e.g. Santa Claus village. Communication with the hosts was excellent, not that we were missing anything during our stay. This is a hidden gem just outside of Rovaniemi town that will guarantee you a relaxed and comfortable stay - without neighbours in sight.

Muy bonitas cabañas. Muy bien equipadas, súper calientitas. Hay para hacer asado. Los anfitriones son super amables y están siempre dispuestos a ayudar. Es un lugar súper seguro y tranquilo, muy cerca de la ciudad pero al mismo tiempo en medio del bosque. Se recomienda tener un auto. Pero si no se tiene también hay autobus cerca, pero horarios cortos.
