Todella ammattitaitoista toimintaa. Kotarin -16 -mallinen pikkunelari sai Timolta kuskin painolle ja ajomieltymyksille sopivalla jäykkyydellä olevat etu- ja takajouset sekä ehdottoman ammattitaitoisen shimmaustyön. Tällä enskapyörällä tekemälläni testilenkillä crossi- ja CC-rataympäristössä ihastelin pyörän alustan ilmeettömän vakuuttavaa ja tasapainoista toimintaa. Pyörä teki juuri mitä kuski halusi ja jo tällä ensimmäisellä testilenkillä pystyin pitämään parempaa nopeutta kuin aiemmin tehdassäädöillä.Pisteenä iin päälle Timolta tuli ennen alustatyön aloittamista sähköpostiin tilausvahvistus, jossa koko tilaustyö oli purettu työvaiheiden, yksityiskohtien ja euron tarkkuudella osiin, eli sain etukäteen tietää täsmälleen, mitä pyörään tehdään ja mitä mikäkin maksaa. Lisäksi Timo ammattimiehenä kiinnitti huomiotani pariin samalla kantsii tehdä pikkuvaivalla" asiaan

I’ve been a ’21 KTM 890 Adv R user since new. I weigh in at +- 96kg without gear. The bike is being used both for offroad and touring (incl. commuting). I focus the modifications on the offroad aspect.Stock the bike already has the best suspension of any bike, in its class, I ever tested / owned. Big hits get taken impressively well - i’m not the lightest rider out there - although the bike can respond a bit jumpy.The biggest problem I did find was that small but aggressive imperfections in terrain, for example washboards or similar rocky surface, come in harsh. The bike’s suspension really doesn’t cope well with this high speed & small travel suspension action. To this extend that the ride really gets fatiguing.I started looking for the options to fix these suspension complaints. I was in doubt for the xplor pro forks but the pricetag held me back. There multiple other options but I ended up with TTM Factory in Finland (I am from Europe). Timo has made a kit for the KTM 890 adventure XPLOR suspension that transforms the forks from a split action (1 leg rebound damping and 1 leg for compression damping) to a dual damping (rebound & compression in both legs) setup. A plus with Timo’s kit is that both rebound and compression damping are still rider adjustable. Rebound damping can be altered on the topside of the forks, compression damping with a screwdriver on the bottom side of the forks.I found out about this kit after reading several (very) positive reviews on Facebook and Advrider. I contacted the authors of the reviews who could only confirm how happy they were with TTM Factory’s kit.I contacted Timo (communication was excellent). He asked me about my riding style, payload, .. and made a suggestion for his fork kit with different springs. As I live in a different part in Europe, he sent me the kit by mail and he gave me the spring part number so I could order them locally. He sent me very clear instructions on how to mount the fork kit and suggested I contacted a local WP suspension technician to do the install. I found a local tech via the WP suspension website and they were happy to do the install (I ordered the springs from them). Shipping was very quick. I had the kit installed March '23.For the shock, Timo also sells a kit but I opted to buy the xplor pro shock instead. Timo delivered the xplor pro shock with a suitable spring.Has my new setup delivered? Yes! Last month I was in Spain for a week long offroad trip. Bike performed flawlessly. The complaints I had before are gone. Comfort (on “heavy offroad terrain”) has improved greatly - a lot less fatiguing . Haven’t experienced bottoming out. Bike isn’t jumpy and i a lot more controllable. Couldn’t be happier with with my setup.If you are thinking about improving the suspension on your KTM 890 Adventure R -> contact TTM Factory, Finland. Erittäin asiakasläheistä ja asiantuntevaa palvelua. Iskarit tehtiin viimeisen päälle itselle sopiviksi ja hyviä neuvoja/ehdotuksia tuli paljon. Pyörän käyttäytyminen muuttui huomattavasti paremmaksi. Mutkat menee kuin itsestään ja suoralla menee vakaasti. Voi keskittyä muihin asioihin ajamisessa, kun voi täysin luottaa iskarien toimintaan.Ei voi kun suositella kaikille!

Pyöränä Gas Gas EC 200, Öhlins takaiskari ja edessä Marzocchin pamput.Alustasta tuli todella hyvä TTM:n huollon ja säädön jälkeen. Taakse vaihdettiin kevyempää jousta ja edestä otettiin pois esijännitystä. Sen jälkeen vielä shimmitys pirkanmaan kivikkoon sopivaksi. Nyt alusta nielee kiviä kiitettävästi ja tanko ei hakkaa käsille.Iso plussa myös hyvästä yhteydenpidosta ja ajotyylin/tavan selvittämisestä ihan pelkästään netin välityksellä. Suosittelen ja olen jatkossakin asiakkaana, kun vauhti kasvaa tai pyörät vaihtuu ja tulee tarvetta säätämiselle.

Harrastuksesta ammatin itselleen luonut tietotaitaja, jonka huomaan voit jättää iskarit tai koko pyörän. Koskaan et pety ja kovimmassakin kiireessä löytyy aikaa neuvoihin jos niitä tarvitsee!!!Tumpulan tuki ja turva!!!!Arvostan!!!!
