Heather's Helsinki Ltd.

Heathers tour of Helsinki was one of the best walking tours I have done. She’s a native English speaker and fluent in Finnish so she can really tailor her communication to the whole group. This tour is a bit different to most, because Heather gives you a look into local Finnish life by visiting a supermarket where they shop, talking about what people buy and how they use it, and even visited a local state run alcohol store. I will definitely be recommending this to people I know who are travelling to Helsinki.

Fun and informative food tour through Helsinki with Heather was a perfect 3.5 hours of great food, interesting perspectives on food and culture and time very well spent! Learned about all things Finnish and food. From how to shop and cook on your own to where to get the best of the local delicacies. Highly recommend this food tour. Heather is so knowledgable and engaging and all the tastings are delicious. You really get a feel for the local food culture on this tour as well as hearing lots of stories about Helsinki in general. I’d recommend not having breakfast and planning the tour for early on during your time in Helsinki.I loved every minute of this tour :)

We took the Fork in Hand tour and would highly recommend it. Heather is a wonderful guide and her passion for the food, culture and history of Helsinki made for a really fun and informative day. Everything was delicious and Heather took us to some real gems that we simply would not have discovered on our own. She also gave us lots of recommendations for the rest of our trip

Such an insightful and in-depth food tour! I don't want to spoil all of the surprises about where we went and what we tasted, but if you're interested in Finnish food culture and seeing what life is like in Helsinki, you won't regret taking this tour. Heather's tour was out of this world! I booked the abbreviated three and a half hour tour, but I had overslept and missed the start time and was so disappointed. However, I was the only one booked on that particular day Heather reached out to me via many forms of communication to make sure I was alright and if I wanted to still take the tour. I did of course and she allowed us to begin nearly two hours later than the designated start time. This tour was part culture, part history, and part food. As she noted in the description, this is not a tour where you will only be eating the whole time. You get oriented to the city, see interesting sites, eat small bites, and learn a variety of Finnish facts. The small bites we ate were very tasty and included desserts, savory snacks, and jam. Heather was an open book and I asked her many questions about life in Finland that she gladly answered. She was a wealth of knowledge and a joy to be around. She also went the extra mile and looked up some information for me after the tour regarding a food my great-grandparents used to eat. I highly recommend Heather's Helsinki.

It was such a pleasure to take a tour with Heather. She is so knowledgeable about Helsinki and Finland - it's history, it's design and of course it's flavors! As a seasoned traveler (60+ countries) that often goes on food tours, I can say this is probably one of the best I've taken!

We had such a memorable couple of days with Heather. We started out with a food tour and then booked her privately for a day tour to Porvoo.The food tour was fantastic where we learnt so much and ate yummy things. Our private guide experience was tailored to what we wanted to see and do including the Rock church and Cat Cafe. Heather also taught us how to roll snowballs to make a huge snowman! Thank you Heather, we will always remember this time and you so fondly.
