I was there in connection with a scientific conference where the city often holds a reception. The mayor's address was appropriate wrt. both content and duration. The food was nice and they served red and white wine in addition to some non-alcoholic option. The building itself was nice and the artwork interesting.

The City Hall was designed by Carl Ludwig Engel in Neoclassical style in 1833. It served as a hotel till 1913 and hosted many important cultural premiers.Today, it is home to the office of the Mayor of Helsinki and hosts City Council meetings.

It's so great to have such a great place for tourists right in the center - information, history, free water refill, toilets. The building itself is really beautiful - it was built as a hotel and was converted into a city hall with a mayor's office. In the First world war it was used as a hospital.

The Municipal house is open for public; with great information and brochures about the city and services, also good exhibitions happens there as well. Public (clean) toilets are available (free of charge).Good to remember that you always can go there to refill your bottle of fresh tap water. Finland's tap water ranks among the best in the world!

The best public restroom I've ever seen. I'm not kidding. And the building is really nice, with interesting exhibitions (Finnish film when I was there).

Fun exhibits and artwork. Bathrooms did not live up to the hype. Opening hours are very limited

Lounasravintola. Ravintolasali on iso ja siinä on kaksi erillistä noutopöytää. Pöydät olivat siistejä. Henkilökuntaa on riittävästi ja se on ystävällistä. Ruoka oli hyvää, mutta ei mitenkään erikoista. Lohikeitto oli tosi maukasta. Erilaisia salaatteja ja leipiä oli runsaasti ja hei, tapenadaa! Ravintola oli klo 12 aivan täynnä, mutta se ei juurikaan häirinnyt ruuan hakemista ja itse ruokailua kuin lievänä yleishälinänä. Lounas oli halpa ja kivana yllätyksenä oli eläkealennus.
