Ravintola HOKU
Very good restaurant at the top of Kamppi center. Service was incredible and attitude excellent. Presentation of the food is best that Helsinki offers. I would go again, fits well for a date of business occasion. Tea brought back memories from Japan and other best Asian restaurants around the world. Pork was good, but fish was even better. Definitely good kitchen! Time well spent☺️

Great Japanese cuisine adapted to Finland’s produce and local vibe , delightful gyoza according to my wife’s high standards okonomiyaki excellent with waving bonito flakes, also chicken moist after cooking snd sliced, squeeze of lemon after resting accompanied by steamed rice, dessert was banana cake with caramel coated ice cream , all washed down with water and English dry apple cider, memorable meal , recommend. Attentive service on a busy night, good work by the team.My ‘best Japanese food since Kyoto 2019’

This place offers probably one of the best culinary experiences in Helsinki. Its menu is based on a fusion of Asian/Japanese and Hawaiian flavours. The food is tasty, delicious, and flavoursome. The staff was kind and friendly. We were there on Monday evening and the place was very busy. We were lucky to get a spot, but it is probably best to book in advance

This was our first trip to Helsinki and I was very pleasantly surprised to come across this restaurant. The restaurant advertises itself as serving Asian and Hawaiian cuisine. As a visitor from Hawaii, I was initially skeptical however as you will read I was blown away. I was initially surprised from the fact that there was a Hawaiian" restaurant all the way in Helsinki

Täytetty kuha 29€ oli huono elämys eikä siinä ole mitään kehumista. Mauttoman kuhan sisällä oli mössönä rapua, kiinalaista makkaraa ja katkarapua mikä oli erittäin outo ja epämiellyttävä yhdistelmä. Sama, kuin laittaisit kanan sisään kalkkunaa, possua ja vielä nautaa kirsikkana kakun päälle ja vieläpä muussaat ne yhdeksi kokonaisuudeksi sisällä. Raaka sipuli maistui liikaa mössön yhteydessä.Kastike maistui ensin raikkaalta, kun maistoi vielä limen, mutta ruokailun edetessä maku oli muuttui hyvin raskaaksi vaihdellen mauttoman kalan ja epämääräisen rapumakkarakatkarapumössön välillä.Tähän olisi kaivannut sitruunanpalan, jotta olisi saanut alas. Eli annoksena täytetty kuha oli varsin epäonnistunut eikä ollut halpakaan.Suosittelen vahvasti perinteisissä ruuissa pysymistä esim. Katsudon ja Teriyaki lohi.Täytetyn kuhan kanssa tuli pieni riisi-kulho. Katsudon ja Teriyaki lohi ovat myös hintalaatusuhteeltaan parempia, kun ensimmäiseen tulee isohko salaatti ja jälkimmäiseen perunasalaatti.Palvelu oli ihan hyvää, tosin ravintola oli hyvin meluisa ja jos ikkunapaikalla istut niin työntekijät tulevat nopeasti laskuttamaan että paikat vapautuvat seuraaville asiakkaille. Koirat ovat sallittuja.——-The Seafood/sausage filled kuha 29€ was a quite nasty experience, as someone stated it should be illegal. Should as well buy a chicken and put turkey, pork and beef inside. The fish was tastless, insides were blended and mushy. The food and sauce was really heavy and wish they had offered just a piece of lemon to balance it out. Quite a weird combination for a meal and I had to eat pizza soon afterwards to get the taste out of my mouth.I highly recommend you stick to a more safer option e.g. Katsudon or Teriyaki salmon. Both had a better quality-price ratio compared to the Filled Kuha. Katsudon included a salad and Salmon a potato salad. The Filled Kuha was served with small bowl of rice.The customer service was good but sitting by the windows means that you will be ushered out soon once finished eating. The ambience of the restaurant was nice but very loud and if you sit by the windows, you’ll be sitting right back to back to another customer. Not recommended for private occassions. Dogs are allowed.

One of the better restaurants we’ve tried in the area, and fairly priced. Service was excellent. Staff was kind and timely with delivery of food. Gyoza was tasty, my favorite was the beef skewers, and I enjoyed the salmon dish. Lots of veggies to balance it out. Fresh dish with great ingredients. Husband enjoyed the bibimbap. We were surprised with a new dish they’re testing out, a deconstructed cheesecake, nice touch!

The Salmon Teriyaki never fails to please me. The portion is decent and filling.For around 16,50 EUR you get a tasty and good-portioned dish. There is also complimentary coffee.I give it 4 stars because I am not particularly a big fan of waiting in the line to order at the counter, then looking for table some more time and then waiting some more for my order. This place should have table service!Unfortunately, it’s always packed so it might be tough to get a table by the window to enjoy the view.I recommend this place for a cold and sunny day in Helsinki.

Ruoat ovat leikkisiä, ja hinta-laatusuhde on erinomainen. Henkilökunta on avulias ja meillä oli hauskoja vuorovaikutuksia pitkin iltaa. Pimeällä kaupungin valot antavat ravintolalle jännittävää visualiikkaa.
