We are being following and enjoying Murasaki popups during this last year's. We where really happy when he opened his own restaurant.Saki provide high quality products with authentic Japanese receipts. He give trully passion and attention to details even in the simplest dishes.The restaurant is a small Japanese sushi/izakaya style restaurant where you sit in front of the kitchen and you can see the chef preparing your meal.We went for the teisyoku set meal. Where you get a set meal and some side dishes of your choose.The fish and side dishes were exquisite and the sashimi is the best you can eat right now in Finland. If you still hungry at the end you can order dashy a rice bowl with salmon and fish soup that taste amazing or some of the deserts.If you like Asian food mainly Japanese and want to know how a trully authentic Japanese meal taste I recommend to come to Murasaki.

Increíble Japanese restaurant run by one man. Only eight seats so reservations are almost mandatory, but we'll worth checking if your in the area anyway. Top tier food in a cozy location.

Authentic and delicious Japanese restaurant experience in Helsinki. Highly recommended to order the omakase and leave the choices for the chef/owner. Running a quality restaurant like this single handedly requires skill, experience, and dedication, all of which are on display in murasaki.The food is very delicious and carefully prepared. Sashimi pieces and karaage were especially good during our dinner.The space is small and emanates authentic vibes with the simplicity. (The only nitpicking I have has to do with the lightning on the rearmost seat: the light source is directly behind the back so one casts a disturbing shadow to the table.)

Quite love the Japanese vibes here.The chef/owner is super friendly! I quite enjoyed the food here that almost forgot to take some pictures :) here are the only ones taken when I realized that :( not to mention the reasonable price for a nice meal!Totally recommend!

Hotelli Helkan toiseen kerrokseen muuttanut Murasaki oli oikein miellyttävä ja erilainen ravintolakokemus. Ravintolassa on vain 8 asiakaspaikkaa, mikä tekee tunnelmasta varsin intiimin ja yksilöllisen. Paikka hotellin toisessa kerroksessa tuntui aluksi hieman erikoiselta mutta se osoittautui hyvin rauhalliseksi, hieman erillään olevaksi tilaksi, mikä vaikutti toimivan oikein hyvin. Ruokalista oli yksinkertainen perinteisistä (ilmeisesti) japanilaisista ruokalajeista koostuva lista mistä kannattaa valita useita erilaisia ruokalajeja. Annokset ovat hieman tapashenkisiä, pieniä, useimmiten kylmiä ruokalajeja jotka sopivat maisteluun. Sushia paikka ei tarjoa lainkaan. (Muutama eksynyt lammas paikan tuli päälle sushia kysymään). Itse ruoka oli mielestäni oikein maistuvaa ja kokki erittäin ystävällinen ja palveluhenkinen. Suosittelen kokeilemaan!

So happy to see this place thriving! It got pretty busy recently, so make sure to book beforehand.One of the best spots for lunch in Helsinki overall, and the most authentic Japanese lunch currently. The food is amazing, made with care and attention. You can go for a lunch with 5 side dishes without a main, if you feel like having something lighter. All the sides are flavorful, but my personal favorites are deep fried vegetables in broth, sweet omelette and boiled vegetables in broth. Go try it out!
