I visited the space to see the RE/MEMBER/PLAY play on a Saturday evening. The staff was polite and helpful, even offering coffee. I didn't reserve my ticket in advance but luckily after all the people (who purchased tickets) went through, I managed to buy a ticket and see the performance. Lucky me! The waiting space was cozy, giving a home-feeling. The building itself is wooden traveling you back in time.A few words about the RE/MEMBER/PLAY performance:Inventive!Emotional!Entertaining!The stage set was imaginative, setting the tone for the play. A couple of stage pieces stood out. The cloud with the blue-colored light beams was the central and most impressive piece suggesting that we were in the clouds or in a dreamy environment. I secretly wanted to take the cloud piece with me and set it up in my living room. Another brilliant stage-set piece was the closet (on the right side of the stage) where several analog, digital and mobile phones were sitting. The character of Love opened the closet and pulled a sofa-or-bed looking mattress, converting the closet into a whole pink bedroom with fairy toys and photos of Harry Styles. That was unexpected - quite resourceful. Contrary to the classic black color which you typically see in a black-box theater stage, the space was all white reinforcing the atmosphere of the play. The colored lights were further highlighted owing to the white space.Even with missing three actors, the performers did an amazing job in anthropomorphizing the different emotions such as love, anger, sadness or other abstract notions such as time. At the same time, all the characters expressed a range of emotions even though each character portrayed one emotion. Quite a concept to wrap your mind around! The actors had a good command of the stage and articulated quite well. They all seemed to have chemistry with each other which brought the dynamic and tension between each character to light.The music accentuated the set and performances. It was at times sorrowful during the love's monologues, frightening during the drink handover scene and others joyful during the party scene. The music was one of the strengths of the production.------I highly recommend seeing one of the performances there. Book your tickets in advance!
