60 Degrees North

Mink is an very interesting small camper which is easy to drive with, provides a nice and warm bed to sleep in, and a functional kitchen to cook in. It is more at home in the woods, but we did drive it to the epicenter of Finnish caravan life - the Tuurin kyläkauppa - as well. In all places you need to be ready to answer questions and convince people it is not just an oversized washing machine you are towing.Handling the camper is easy - it is light enough for one person to move around by just pushing it (on relatively easy surfaces) and when towing you don't really notice it. Normal car mirrors are enough to see behind it, and fuel consumption was only slightly up during the rental week.The camper is big enough for two adults and one child. We rented this on a rainy week and got a lot of condensation in the cabin - it doesn't matter really, but having a soft piece of cloth to wipe the worst of it helps a bit in the mornings. The heater is very powerful compared to camper size and it is not possible to have it on all the time - but since it is designed to keep people warm in Iceland, you won't feel cold in Finland either. A fan is useful in the summertime.In the kitchen you'll find everything you need for a small trip. There are enough plates & cutlery for two people. Packing now, I would bring another pot (there is one kettle, two frying pans, but just one pot), and a metal / plastic presso coffee maker.Make sure you either buy the gas from 60 Degrees North, or bring the right kind of gas canister (hint: camping stoves and hiking stoves seem to use different connectors).For kitchen bring some towels, clothes pegs / S-hooks, and a dish brush + liquid. All in all, the camper does not have a lot of places to hang anything on, so some extra pegs / hooks and a piece of string helps quite a bit. Your car will be close by anyways, so getting the stuff organized in the trunk before you leave home makes sense.The marquee is very handy. It isn't actually as easy to set up as the brochure says, but it does give nice cover from rain/sun in front of the door or of the kitchen. Why not as easy": to me "easy" would be that it has clear and simple connection options that don't mean just laying the marquee on top of the camper

Varauksen tekeminen ja viestintä yrityksen kanssa oli nopeaa ja vaivatonta.Mink Camper liikkui kevyesti auton perässä. Camperissa oleva patja oli todella hyvä nukkua ja hyttysverkkojen ansioista ikkunaluukkuja pystyi pitämään yöllä auki niin lämpötila pysyi miellyttävänä. Suosittelen.

Rented a mink camper and enjoyed two nights of wilderness camping with my 5 year olds. Size is ideal for a couple, and certainly manageable for two kids + adult. Pickup and drop off are easy. Camper in mint shape. Design is cool and practical. With the huge skylight ceiling the camper is very cozy and comfy. Easily qualifies as romantic for couples too. Friendly and clear service with fast replies!

Laadukkaita retkeilyvaunuja joita on kevyt vetää perässä. Puskaparkki -infoa löytyi kattavasti nettisivuilta ja pysähdys paikkoja löytyikin kattavasti. Vaunu mukava ja lämmin jopa pakkasilla!

Palvelu aivan ensiluokkaisen sujuvaa ystävällistä! Todella mielyttävää asiointia täällä.Mink vaunu on aivan uskomattomat hieno. Vuokrasimme 60 Degrees North'ilta Mink-perävaunun viikon Norjan reissua varten. Vuokrauksessa kaikki sujui helposti ja vaivattomasti. Vaunu odotti siistissä kunnossa sovitusti.Itse vaunu on hyvin varusteltu ja sopii hyvin niin kesämatkailuun kuin kylmemmällekin säälle webasto-lämmittimen ja hyvien tuuletusluukkujen ansiosta. Erityismaininta patjasta, joka on todella mukava.Jos joku miinus pitäisi antaa, niin se on Mink -vaunun keittiön toimivuus kurjalla sadesäällä. Me totesimme, että silloin on viisaampi syödä muualla.Suosittelemme 60 Degrees Northia ja Mink-vaunua etenkin, jos kaipaat ketterää perässä vedettävää vaunua. Vaunua on helppo vetää kapeilla ja mutkaisilla teillä ja sen voi pysäköidä tavalliseen parkkiruutuun. Lisäksi sitä voi helposti liikutella yksinkin, jos esimerkiksi vaunun asentoa tarvitsee korjata.
