They say that's a market , where local people are offering their products. I saw stuff like bear meat in can, reindeer meat - dried and canned, something like beef jerky made of elk , all kind of fish cans among some other gourmet stuff. There are some tables and benches as well, so you can grab a plate and have a meal there

This is a nice indoor market near the Market Square. It would be a nice place to come when it is cold outside. There are many shops inside the Market, and you can grab lunch. We stopped by Robert's coffee for coffee and a pastry. The batista was friendly and there was ample seating.

Only a few shops were open during my visit, but it was still an interesting place to wander around for a bit. They primarily offer fish and meat products, such as salmon, elk, wild boar, and even bear. Additionally, there are a few quick lunch options available. I would suggest trying the salmon soup at Scandinavia Cafe and the sautéed reindeer at Kumpi peruna

If you wanna try or buy different types of fish,meat or cavier,so you definitely need to visit this place. Be ready that prices are rather high.

The market is a small gem with a well-organized layout, offering a delightful array of traditional Finnish dishes. While it does attract tourists, the prices remain reasonable, making it accessible to a wide range of visitors.

If you visit Helsinki it's impossible to bypass this place. Market is full of local delicacies and drinks. I tried sautéed reindeer meat with potato, cranberry sauce, blue cheese, mushrooms and it was like heaven in my mouth. In addition, food prices are lower than in restaurants and the bonus is also unique atmosphere.

Great historic market hall with lots of small cosy bistros, delis and delicacy shops. Can be very busy during summer season due to tourist groups being herded through here. Otherwise recommended!

Almost a posh place where you can buy a lot of local delicacies. I liked the building itself a lot, then the offer, and the fact that the products are local, or at least they claim to be. Or some of them are more exotic, such as a stand with Oriental food. Just mind the opening hours, this is not a place for dinner.There are free toilets to go to, but being so unmaintained and very tiny, I almost didn't feel like using them, even though I managed to squeeze in to the toilet cabin somehow.

The old market is definitely a must. Plenty of permanent food vendors offer traditional foods such as salmon or reindeer soup. Highly recommend. Find a place, order, sit and enjoy.
