Arctica Lapland

My boyfriend booked us a night at the aurora hut for my birthday and all I can say is... it was truly wonderful and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.Joni picked us up at the bus station and brought us to the hut. What’s included in the price of a night : dinner, breakfast, Finnish sauna, husky sleigh to the hut and obviously the incredible night itself inside the hut under the sky and aurora. (What an AMAZING value for price when you look at the cost of activities in Lapland!!)He let us sat down asking what we wanted for dinner (literally!!!), we asked him for recommendations and he helped us really well. I ended up getting some moose (omg, so grateful for this master cook!), and my boyfriend got some delicious cooked salmon. Yum!!!The ride to the hut in the middle of nowhere by huskies was truly magical. You can tell the dogs are loved and truly cared for.Joni made himself really available for us, asking us whether if we wanted a campfire, or anything else for that matter. Then, we scheduled our sauna session which was great. Such a lovely experience.We got back home and after a while, Joni brought us dinner to the hut. WOW! So much delicious food. What a birthday dinnerThen Joni even offered us to use his telescope so we could look at the moon and the stars. The stars... it must have been the most beautiful sky I had seen my entire life. Inside the hut was like a dream, you’ll never want to fall asleep.Joni also texted us when the aurora came to make sure we wouldn’t miss it. Such a wonderful attention!We woke up in heaven the next day surrendered by the white forest is the middle of nowhere. Is it a dream?Joni brought us a great filling breakfast and after a bit brought us back a bit further than where he was meant to just so it would be more convenient for us.What can I say! Thank you for the best birthday I’ve ever had.PS: Joni even helped us on our next adventure as we video called him because we couldn’t manage to make fire. He deserves the best!The aurora hut is still quite new and the experience will only get better and better with time, I cannot recommend it enough, you will not be disappointed and will receive perfect service.Thank you again for everything,Laurine & Bilel
