I stayed for two and half months, in two different rooms. It was excellent. Its location is really good, the facilities are very good and the equipment of the departments is complete. It's an expensive hotel, but the price decreases when your stay is longer. The cleaning staff is very friendly and attentive. Aalto Inn hasn't a reception, it's locate in Töölö Towers in Helsinki. The people in charge of the email and reception are efficient.

Stayed here for two weeks. The lack of reception makes communicating with staff very hard, especially if you don't have a Finnish phone. Email only, which gets answered, usually, eventually. A direct phone in the lobby to a human would be really nice.Otherwise, the rooms are nice, the location very convenient for visiting Aalto University. Each room has a nearly full kitchen with a common oven on each floor.

Pros:Nice and spacious room (after some initial issues).Cons:We had to pay €90 extra because we couldn't get the key from the automated system and we couldn't reach the reception (not open on reasonable times). No one told us that it would cost €90 when we called the service. Also, the first apartment we received had water damage in the bathroom so we had to change the room.

Great apartment for student. It is centered in the University and well connected through walk or ebike. Interior is minimalist with TV, fridge and sofa. One simple kitchen can be used for cooking.

Spacious 42 sq meter apartment, with kitchen area, utensils, closet and living area. Nice surrounding in the beautiful Espoo campus of Aalto University. No soap in the bathroom when we entered. The liquid soap that was supplied on request was a mockery. They should have been upfront about it. We would have carried our own soap. It took us a couple of days to getting used to no reception counter scenario. Then it was fine. We would come back again now that we know what to expect. Price was fine. Could not get that price in a regular hotel.

This place is FILTHY. Not dirty, filthy. I've statyed here before and it was just fine, now it's a dumpster. And since there is no one on premisses, good luck getting someone on the phone.

The first impression was great. The building is located right on the shore front and has well designed rooms and beautiful lounges on each floor. Our room had a balcony with a view of the sea. But since being designed and built things have gone downhill. When we arrived our room was 26 degrees Celsius. We soon found out that the glass panes on the balcony were broken and couldn't be opened, which made the balcony and the apartment super hot. Maintenance did fix that quickly, but there also appears to have been some problem with the ventilation because the apartment was still hot for several days after that. Water had damaged the cupboard in the bathroom making the wood poof out around the edges like a marshmallow. Water leaked from the faucet so the bathroom floor was continually wet. One of the washing machines broke down while we were there.Certainly problems can arise in even the best hotel, but here they seem to occur too frequently. It seems the place has been a little neglected, and as a result has been kind of run down. The only staff we saw around were the two cleaning ladies, and it seemed like they had their hands full. The common areas also had signs of wear and neglect. There were also still notifications up about window cleaning at the end of June, and by that time it was mid-August.All in all, I would not recommend staying here. From my understanding, this hotel is only for guests of the universities here in the Helsinki area. If the university lets you stay for free then sure, take it. However, if you have to pay for it yourself (like we did) then you might as well spend your money elsewhere.

I was in Aalto Inn for three months, the location is great, very close to the University of Aalto and to the metro station, you can be in Helsinki's city center in 20 minutes! The views were nice, is in the seaside and there are nice places to go for a walk. Some PROS and CONS:PROS:- Nice location, 5 - 10 min walking from the metro station and to the university.- Great views and nice surroundings.- Nice room, with all you can need for your stay, kitchen, bathroom, TV, ... Despite there is no oven in the kitchen there is one in the shared lobby of each floor.- Free laundry room- There is a city-bike station in front of the main entrance which is quite convenient.CONS:- There is no reception neither any staff, this makes the check in a little bit difficult, in my three months there I helped few people that were having problems with that. Also if you forget your keys inside the room you will need to call them to come to open you.

Not a hotel, but very good for extended stay if you want to take care of everything yourself, including meals and laundry (bring your own detergent).
