Autonvuokraus - Scandia Rent Rovaniemi

Not even worth one star. Terrible service. We had booked a car months in advance only to arrive at Rovaniemi and be offered a car with a broken window screen that was not safe to drive. They told us there was no other car available. We had to wait for ages to be refunded, then we were abandoned at the train station with no car in the height of tourist season. Hardly any cars available. Ended up having to rent from Europcar for a shorter rental period and 3 times the price. We were not even offered a lift to our hotel. Absolutely appalling. I can now see from other reviews we are not the only ones who have been stranded by this company. Buyer beware.

Terrible service, and a complete SCAM!Watch out, you pay for insurance, and then when you have a problem with the car, they tell you to take it to the garage. They then lock you in the garage forcing you to pay the full bill!!Avoid at all costs

Great service from a very friendly and helpful staff!Our own car broke down in the middle of nowhere and we needed a bigger car for all our ski equipment but there was no availability. Our dog became a problem too because many rental companies do not allow dogs. Scandia Rent too was fully booked but managed to find us a big car anyway and they even made an exception for our dog!The price was very affordable too considering it was the weekend and we needed the car right away. They brought us the rental car on the same tow truck that took our own car to the repair shop. Very convenient! We were kept very well informed while they were searching for a suitable car for us. All in all a smooth family company experience, not like one of those big faceless corporations like Sixt or Europcar and they definitely have my recommendation!Thank you for saving our ski trip. :)

Will leave you stranded. I reserved a car for a 4.5 day period between Christmas and New Years. More than $1500 US, which is exorbitant, but whatever. They just emailed me 2 days ago to tell me they don’t have a car for me after all. Cool. Now everyone is sold out except for one company that is charging more than $3,000 US for a 5 day rental of a car that you could almost buy for $3K! I can only assume that they “don’t have a car for me” because they’re taking advantage of the apparent shortage and gave my car to someone for $3K. In short, don’t rent from these people unless you want to be stranded in the middle of nowhere, 3 hours from your destination, with no car. Unbelievable.
